Spark Plug Wires/Ignition Wire 850

I just received my new set of OEM spark plug wires from Beechmont Volvo located in Cincinnati ( $59.76 no tax free shipping my local dealer wanted $74.70+ tax ) . They give brick board member very good discounts and the guy to ask for is Mark ,friendly help etc. OK enough with the plug. When I received my wire set there was no coil wire included in the set. Should this be changed with the set or is it not really necessary due to the spark plug wires being closer to the heat source (on top of engine) / deterioration. I was told they seldom replace the coil wire.Any comments. In the mean time I have new spark plug wires old coil wire.
