CAT removal - possible or not? 850 1994

Do you happen to know the reason for the second O2 sensor being omitted - i.e. was it because a CAT was NOT ftted to Thai cars? If so, what was fitted in it's place?

Many luxury cars here are imported, so I'm trying to get a picture of where mine originated. There aren't many clues. Mine has no Cruise control, but has almost every other feature including TRACS which is hardly necessary in Thailand !
