SC 811 amplifier 850

I have always been wondering where I could get info about Volvo amplifiers. Because I have seen that DIN plug for an amp on the back of my stereo and I have read somewhere that t5r's came with an amp. Is it something one could add, where would one obtain one, and what would the cost be. Another question is who makes it and would another brand of amp work with it like the Alpine CD changer trick? (Is it Alpine like the CD changer) Just some audio questions.

PS: I saw a 100x4watt amp at volvoworld.com for $567
They also had a 40x4watt for $330
They were listed as only for a 70 series though
Stock is 25x4watt I believe
