Extremely dirty engine compartment = loss of performance? 850 1995

My 854 Turbo only has a shade over 39k miles, but it's been through 7 years of harsh weather, including rain, snow and salt from the streets. The engine compartment is filthy. I changed the air filter recently, but I"m wondering if there is any negative side effects of having dirty and film caked to the fuel rails, intake manifold, covers, and tubes.

Thanks!
