Fear of synthetic leaks! 850

Hello all!
Well I was all gung-ho about changing my oil over to synthetic but recently read
of one who posted on this board about how his 850 began to leak like a sieve shortly after he switched. My 850 has 101,000 miles on it and I just purchased it 6 months ago. It came with the Volvo glovebox book and all up to date dealer stamps. I really want to switch but am fearful of what may result. It sounds from what I have read, as though it is a 50-50 shot at leaing or not. Anyone for
some re-assurance?
