sc-816 specs 850 1996

Does anyone have information on the sc-816 like # of channels,watts who actually makes the radio... etc.
I'm debating replacing this with a nakamichi cd45z head unit with a 4x50 amp for speakers and a 1x100 sub amp from my other car and wondering if this is the best thing to do, or is it better to add the amps to the sc-816 (can that even be done)
I'm looking more for improved quality of sound more than loudness.
Another idea I had was to replace the sc-816 with a sc-901?? but not sure if that can be done either.
any advice is appreciated
