S70 Rear brake drum noise. S70 1998

Need suggestions. I just had my rear brake pads replaced at Koffman Tire in the Atlanta Metro Area. First of all they told me I needed new rotors, which I didn't, and if I did I would have needed them on the front not the back.
They also told me they might squek if they put them on. Does this also mean they might make a loud drum noise?

Anyway, the brakes cost $56.00 + labor = 146.00, which is okay because I didn't really want to do them myself that day. I have replaced the front myself before.

Well, its now a week later and I have been hearing a loud drum sound from my rear brakes whenever I apply the brake. My question is this, should they make that noise? should I take them back? What should I do? When I changed my front brakes they didn't make any noise, no squekes, no drum noise, no nothing. Your advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeff
