235/40 - 18s on S70!? S70

Simple question - Will 235/40's fit on my car!? I have 225/40's right now, on 18-by 8 rims. Rides ok but theres some rubbing when 5 people are in the car or if i corner extremely sharply - but i rolled the fenders to stop that - The thing is, the rims are very wide and actualy stick out about 1/5 of an inch more than the tire itself. So scratching the rim is VERY easy and has happened several times. Its time for new tires now, so i was thinking of going from 225 to 235... Has anyone tried this. I realize that its extremely large, and my turning radius will be greater as i wont be able to turn the steering wheel full way, but what do you think? I dont know - help...
Thanks

Heres a link of the car.
