Weird resonance noise in wagon when rear windows are down 850

Every so often, there is a very loud buffeting noise that just resonates throughout the whole car when the rear windows are open. Has this every happened to anyone else? I'm not sure if its mechanical or what but it sure is weird. I haven't been able to reproduce it regualarly but it usually happens when one or both rear windows are down while traveling about 40-50mph. I remember old VW bugs having a similar problem where you couldn't hear the other person at certain speeds. Only thing is that my Volvo is louder then that and actually scared me the first time. I think I'll start using my sunroof...
