XM Radio Antenna...Can I hide it behind a sunroof defelctor? 850

Has anyone ever tried hiding the Terk SR-2 antenna under and behind an acrylic sunroof deflector? This would hide the antenna and keep thieves unalerted. Moreover, the smoked acrylic deflector would not affect reception as it doesn't contain any lead or metallic substrate. The only hinderance would be whether there is enough roof space exposed behind the deflector to allow attachment of the SR-2. I don't know about the alloted roof space afforded with the application of the deflector. I would, in a NY minute, order a deflector if the necesary spacing was available on the roof. I guess I could get a "stick-on" rather than a "clip-on" deflector and thus allow the placement of the deflector to my own discretion. Any thoughts would been greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
