oil pump replacement

Seems after several posts that my leak may be from the oil pump. Is the oil pump at the rear of the engine behind the crank? Black box with a couple of lines going to it? If not this where is it exactly and how hard is this thing to replace. If I can't do it in an evening I may have to take it to a shop and have them do it......last resort!!!
