Clunk... more like pop 850 1994

Check that your caliper is properly bolted in AND that the piston isn't binding.

My '98 V70R does this when I reverse and begin the apply the brakes. Sounds like a pad that doesn't fit quite right in the caliper and is shifting. In some ways I hope it's something else so I can use the warranty :-)
