on the subject of tinting...My experiences 850

I had our 740 Turbo tinted with legal tint for Massachusetts 5 years ago, and it still looks fine. The legal tint does not bother your vision under any conditions, but is still dark enough to look distinctive. I am surprised that the side windows still look so good. We do not wash the tinted areas as often as the windshield, and when we do, we dry the tint with a clean, old towel instead of paper

Look your car over good when you pick it up, as a matter of fact I would have the supervisor look it over with you when you drop the car off.

Why? During the tinting they broke my back window. The shop first denied that they broke it. Then they tried to tell me that someone in the parking lot might have vandalized it and I should claim it on my insurance. The break was in the inside of the window near a slot in the trim. I told them that I would bring my car to my insurance company and tell the adjuster how I thought it got broken. My insurance company agreed with me and fixed the window. They told me that they would go after the shop - they took several photos.

This was not a small thing - $1200 for a new window.

A picture of the car can be seen in the gallery - search for 700s - then scroll down to "Evander in his winter plumage." Evander is also in the classifieds.
