NEED HELP WITH TOO MUCH OIL IN CAR!!!!!!! HELP!!!! 850 1993

Well.......Thanks for the advice but unfortunately it turned out badly. Even though it was only driven a total of about 10 miles before I drained it all ...the damage ( severe ) was done. The next day it continued to leak severely when running and I keep pouring oil into to replace. I took it to local Volvo and left two days later after spending $1400. The rear main seal was blown as well as the cam seals and the distributor seal.

Basically there was so much oil in the car that it blew all the seals to escape. Now, I have 120k on the car and it could have been different if the seals were brand new.

The moral of the story......Keep the kids and wife out of the garage when working on the car. I will continue to change my oil but will check and recheck several times.

The good part is they were able to finally figure out the source of "check engine" light that had been on for a year and appeared to be a false code. When pulling the engine and trans they found several exhaust hoses leaking. My gas mileage appears to be better too since the enging light is off now.
