Volvo VIRA WISP & PC Operating Systems S70 2000

I am interested in subscribing to Volvo's VIRA WISP, however, I ran into some problems: their site indicates that only Windows NT is compatible with it (and I have Windows 98). I called the phone number provided on that site (800-25-VOLVO) to see if Windows 98 was supported, however, the people at that number were clueless and referred me to Volvo Customer Service (800-458-1552). After a brief conversation with Volvo Customer Service, I was informed that the 'lowest' Windows OS that VIRA WISP would be compatible with was Windows 2000. Obviously, this still won't work for me.

Has anyone run into a similar circumstance in trying to subscribe or in using Volvo VIRA WISP? If so, please let me know how you resolved this problem (if your solution was not just to upgrade your OS). Perhaps you received different information from one of the two sources I mentioned and they DO actually support Windows 98?
