strange noise 850 1997

Hi,

Here's one that would have stumped Gus Wilson in his Model Garage where in the pages of Popular Science he would solve a particularly tough car problem each month.
Anyway, I have a '97 T5 auto with 73500 miles. On the highway it will emit squeaking/moaning/vibrational kind of noise under the following conditions:

A- Speed over sixty
B- Temperature near to or over seventy
C- Usually starts only after car has run a few miles, but not always

Should also note that it sometimes is very brief and sometimes as long as 30 or so seconds.

So far I've found that steering is not affected. The car body does seem to resonate a bit and the sound is generally on the right front to right side.

The local Volvo dealer took my car for three days and found nothing. Unfortunately it was cooler weather. They gave me a loaner and didn't charge me a dime which is certainly fair. They also claimed to have checked the car on a lift. Again, nothing. I had new front struts installed under my "certified" warranty at about 70000 miles when they also aligned the front end.

Any ideas?

Regards,
Deeosee
