recommendations for rear facing infant seats V70-XC70 1998

Hi all-
I know that this has probably been discussed many times on this forum, but please bear with me...

I would REALLY appreciate any advice for any specific rear facing infant car seats. (we are expecting our first on June 19). Specifically, I am looking for something that will sit in the middle of the back seat. I would really like to get something that will work with the tether system in the 98 -2000 v70's (XC really, I guess it doesnt matter.)

PLEASE!!! if anyone has an opinion on a good quality, good fitting, very safe car seat, pls let me know. Anyone have an opinion on the peg perego primo viaggio? It has been recalled twice, but we have the stroller that it fits in.

also, any opinions on what NOT to buy would be helpful... thanks!
