water leak S80 1999

Water is leaking behind passenger side dash when driving in hard rains. I noticed wet carpet, pulled it back, and tried to follow the leak it up but couldnt see were it was entering. I'm sure its leaking from the fresh air intake in the hood cowl and running down into the cabin air filter box, but I would think Volvo would have designed it to not leak. I took it to the dealer a few months ago who said they fixed a dislodged hose but it just rained really hard last week and it leaked again. Any ideas would be helpful.
