Radio Error Code E2 when using CD Player 850 1995

I have a 95 850 turbo wagon w/ a cd changer mounted in the rear under the panels that lift up to get to the spare. (trunk - ha ha)
When I put in 6-cd cartridge and press the cd button the radio displays a code E2.
The tape player and the radio work just fine.

Does anybody know what this means?

My dealer says it's an internal fault - and I must bring it in!
I searched the archives and found only 1 other message but no responses.
