sedan trunk strut question 850 1996

`Hi ya,

There should be some play as the anchorage point is a small bar that the strut grabs onto. I have the same symptom on one of mine still, after replacing both with the upgraded spoiler type.

Do your's allow your boot/trunk to drop if they do this is a sign of failure and it should be hardish to close. If you don't have a spoiler and decide to change there isn't a price difference in the spoiler/non-spoiler so go for the heaver duty ones as they are the same size, well over here in the UK.

The other thing it could be is your's, the rear mounts mine made a noise and also a noisey rear shocks.

mark in leeds/uk.
