Trunk light goes out after closing 850

posted by  someone claiming to be unclaimed baggage on  Wed May 22 08:20 CST 2002 [RELATED]

The light in trunk of my 1994 850 Volvo goes out when I close it... It would normally not be a problem until I recently married. I keep my mother-in-law in there and she complains of the dark...

Should I...

A.) Try replacing the light bulb.

B.) Run an extension cord with a work light into the trunk when at home.

C.) Lie to her and tell her that I didn't really marry her daughter (maybe she'll quit whining)

I can't stand her noise and not to mention the "bumping" she makes when she knows I am in the car...

If I hit the train tracks hard enough, she gets quiet for a while, but ALWAYS starts back up.
