just a good advice... 850

I have a 1995 850 GLT w/ 110 Kmiles. This week a Volvo technician replaced the radiator (was leaking). He also pointed out that right lower motor mount was not supporting the engine, and replaced that as well.

The old mount was broken, and he said that , since the engine is out of the horizontal position, this problem w/ lower motor mount will cause upper motor mount/bushing to go bad also.

Also, the car is now much smoother during acceleration.

Those of you who changed the upper motoe mount should look at the lower one to see if it was the cause.

****2wks ago I did oil change and asked my regular mechanic to check mounts - he replied "it's O.K."

If the lower mount is bad the engine tilts down to right, to see the mount you have to pull up the rubber "skirt" over the right wheel, and look if the engine is too close to the sub-frame.
