s60 lpt throttle and boost S60 2001

has anyone noticed in the 2.4t (lpt) that there really isn't a difference between about 3/4 throttle and full throttle? My gf's dad's c70 is like that as well (its also a lpt). Is it because it's a lpt that for some reason w/ the programming that it's getting full boost already at 3/4 throttle. I kid you not, my car is not any faster floored or not.
