Whistling sound when accelerating??? 850 1995

I drive a 95 T5R and also have the whistling, normally can hear it from around 3000 rpm and when your really get going it dissappears. When you get of the throttle you can hear the air dumping throught the BOV/wastegate. When I bought the car the dealer assured me it was normal but I haven't heard it in any other T4 or T5. I have changed the direction of the intercooler and still have the noise so I don't think it is an induction leak unless it something to do with the wastegate or BOV. Driven 30K km with the car without any problems.

I don't mind it , it's a way of knowing your using the turbo (especially on long highway runs - try to stay away from it for fuel consumption) and very menacing when you have newby in the car.

Cheers,

Andries
