IPD Cat Back... Cost vs.performance. Is it worth it? 850 1997

I have this exhaust on mine and it does make a difference, but only when coupled with increased boost via a chip. Yes, opening up your cars ability to exhale does have it's benefits, it is much more pronounced with other mods. While I'm not sure the difference, Engstrom (www.engstrom.net) has an almost identical exhaust kit for $495US, 200 cheaper than ipd. You might also be able to find a discount by becoming a member (free) at www.volvospeed.com. Typically the discount is 10% of retail. If you decide to purchase the exhaust, it can be done easily by you and remember to tighten the clamp between the front of the exhaust and the back of the cat. $25 lesson to me.
