Goodbye S70

Just wanted to say goodbye to all of you brickboarders. Thanks for all the help with the car but alas I have tired of its constant problems and got rid of it once and for all.

Good luck keeping em running they are truly beautiful cars. Its tragic in a sense that such a well designed car suffers from poor part quality, poor customer service and dealership workmanship.

Despite its problems I loved my car and would have kept it if I had been supported by Volvo (even if I had to pay for it). Their complete disregard of customer satisfaction is one of the reasons I did not even test drive another Volvo when looking for a replacment vehicle. I sincerely wish that my problems were isolated ones but I know for a fact they were not. At first I thought Consumer reports listing of 70% of Volvo's product line in their "cars to watch out for" section was biased. I now completely understand their review. I also understand why the rest of the automotive press writes the way they do about the nameplate.

In closing, Good Luck, thank you for your advice/support and happy motoring to you all.

Robert Chase
Former Volvo Owner.
