Engine Surge, or lack there of 850

Hello Boarders,
I was out in my 850 T5 wagon this weekend and experienced some engine farts. It seems when i am at a cruising speed (not accelerating or decelerating) the engine feels like it is losing power then regains it. I read the archives and was not able to find this problem for the 850's. I would describe it as having the sensation of feeling a strong wind blow head on for a second or so. When i accelerate or decelerate i did not notice the problem at all. One other clue might be that i could actually see the Tachometer dip and then recover while i was driving at lower speeds (30 - 60 km/hr approximately). At higher speeds the tach would not seem to dip at all even though i could feel the car slow.
No codes are currently on my dash either.
Thanks
Jeff W
