Goodbye S70

Hi,

My 99XC has left me stranded 3 times.

1) Transmission shifter broke while I was on vacation (Gear shifter jammed in drive, made out of plastic). I could not get the transmission out of drive. Carefully drove the car to a local garage where repairs were made.
2) Ignition key socket replaced. Would not allow the key to be inserted into the ignition switch. Car left me at work. Had the car towed to the dealer where the repair was made.
3) Replaced ETS (Electronic Throttle System) Module. I was lucky; car left me stuck at gas station. I was 2 miles from the Dealer. I walked to the dealer and they sent a tech and I back to the gas station. Tech got the car started and drove it back to the dealer for repairs.

Sorry you may like Volvo but on my list Volvo is at the bottom next to AMC, Yugo and so on… This has been the worse car I have ever owned.

I purchased my 99 XC new in May of 99. Since then I have had 35 failed components for 32 trips to the dealer. I like Robert will be soon dumping my POS 99XC for a real car that will not fall apart as soon as I drive it off the Dealer’s lot.

Steven ~:-(
