Brake Shudder (again) C70 2000

Well, CJ - you were 100% right. Surprisingly, it has resolved itself. Since I rotate this car and my Miata (recent problems w/ caliper sliding pins not withstanding), I don't drive either every day.

Even in the dry garage, a bit of rust developed on the rotors which appears to have resolved the problem until I pull the wheels. I understand the Theory, but obviously am not pleased by the Fact.

All this is from a guy who never has brake problems and gets plenty of mileage out of brakes. In the past I always said "I don't do brakes and leave it to the pros," but w/ the number of owner-servicable parts dwindling and w/ the rash of recent issues on the C70 Conv. and the Miata, I've done quite a bit thanks to friends, coworkers and *Brickboard* participants. Both the C70's brake rotors and the 90-93 Miata caliper sliding pin design are known flaws that require major undertakings to resolve. If had confidence in a permanent solution and I knew how to blow both systems away and start again, I would.

Thanks all.
