Upper Engine Mount- questions 850 1996

I put the IPD mount on my car about 8,000 miles ago and have no complaints. Here's my .02.

Be careful when moving the brace out of the way once the bolt through your broken mount is removed. If you just try and shove it to the side you can tear the bushing that's in the firewall mount. Loosen it's bolt before moving the brace.

Taking a hacksaw blade out of it's frame, passing it through the bushing and putting it back in the frame will probably be the easiest way to get the bushing out on a N/A car. Mine's a turbo and the ducts are in the way. I ended up clamping the blade in a vice grip and working with short strokes. Lots of them. I had to cut the bushing in two places, tap out the small peice then the rest of it came out.

The IPD bushing has a couple of arrows molded into it. I believe they face the firewall. Put the IPD bushing in place, reuse the old bolt and torque everything down. Easy.
