Upper Engine Mount- questions 850 1996

I installed the IPD upper engine mount about 3 years ago and have no complaints.

I certainly haven't noticed any noise or vibration as a result of the IPD mount.

Prior to installing the IPD mount, I had gone thru 2 oem mounts in 54K miles.

However, I have seen posts here that suggest that the IPD mount may not
give way in a frontal crash. I.E. the oem mount is designed to give way so that the engine slides under instead of straight back in a frontal crash.

I cannot substantiate this claim one way or the other - anyone care to ?
