Tranny fluid change? S70 1998

Believe it or not this IS a Volvo Indy shop! I've used these guys for years and this is the first piece of advice they've given me I seriously questioned (well, other than mounting my tires backwards one time!).

For piece of mind I think I'll go ahead and have the fluid replaced. It just doesn't seem right to NOT change the fluid at some interval. Maybe I'm just getting old...
