Sway Bars are Installed - Not to be Feared - Clunk is gone!! 850 1995

I don't know why I put this off for so long. I installed both the front and rear bars in about 4 hours. I think an hour of that was getting up to get the tool I left on the other side. A lot of back and forth. The IPD instructions are almost perfect. When reinstalling the rear sub frame brackets the torque specs are confusing and led me into the valley of broken bolts and EZ Outs.

The front bolts should be torqued to 77 not the back bolts that attach to the body. After breaking the one (of four) I re-read and re-read the directions and now I can see how one could have interpreted this the right way.

I test drove the car and it is a huge improvement. The car feels like it is on rails in the turns and very tight. The front now has BIlsteins, strut brace, new sway bar links and control arms. It is just great.

In addition the mystery clunk from the front (slow tight turns) is gone! I suspected the sway bar bushings were bad (104K miles) and I was right.

Maybe it's time for a big bore throttle body?
