Hmm

There is no cable drive to the odometer. So, as it looks to be a mechanical readout, it must be driven by aomething, possible a small solenoid fired by pulses from the speed sensors. It might be jammed, as might be the trip button. Doesn't sound like it should be difficult to fix, if you know a good "Mr. Fixit"
