ok, I screwed up. what's next. 850 1995

Hi,

My A/C won't work. I sent it to dealer. Dealer said that I need
to replace the evaporator. and the San Jose dealer quote me about
$2000 to replace the evaporator and the filter kit.

After study through the post here and there. I think if it's evaporator
problem. Adding a $25 refrigerant will be much cheaper than paying
the dealer.

I didn't even finish the 12oz bottle before I measure pressure. it's in
deep red for more than 100 psi. I am sure I add into th "6n" port.
So it's low pressure port.

I suspect it's not evaporator leaking at all. I add and measure while
using the MAX fan and A/C.

I think, I screwed up big time. What can I do next? donate the car?

Regards,

Tony Yu.
