Antennna sticking badly - body shop spa treatment 850 1994

The Middle section of my antenna will not extend, and I haven't been able to "help" it up by pulling on the top section either - I'm afraid I'll damage something if I pull any harder. I always keep my antenna oiled and working well, but the car was in the body shop for 60 days and now one section is "glued". Any suggestions?

All help/suggestions are appreciated.'
