c70 exhaust noise C70 1998

hi from oz

my 98 c70 5 speed seems to have a noise in the exhaust as the turbo spools up. it sounds like there is a dud exhaust manifold gasket. the car has done 84000km.

also can anyone tell me how long front disc rotors last on these cars as mine seem very thin (big lip)
