brake fluid S70 1998

I decided to flush my brake fluid annually myself to minimise any problems with sensitive abs controller and keep brake system in good shape/my problem is the bleeder valve on the clutch I cannot get this to open backed off on using brute force as it felt like the line will snap before it will let the bleeder open/and yes i did have someone depress the clutch while trying to open bleeder anyone else with a manual trans overcome this I know there is not much fluid in there am I being just to anal when it comes to my car?
