Help, tough time getting my 850 fixed. 850 1996

I'd run the idea by a lawyer as that's a crock. Many people swapped 16s on those as the 17s rode too harsh and 16s were a option as you've mentioned.
The only time I could see them using that excuse is if you had the wrong offset wheels, wrong tires on the car like those things done by kids where most of the wheel extends out of the wheelwell. As long as you have OEM wheels and tires, I can't see how they could fight that.
