V70 Accessories V70-XC70 1999

I would use the cross bars (aka load bars) instead of the roof rails
if you won't use it that often. I believe the rack adds wind noise
(hopefully, someone with them can comment on the noise issue better
then I can).

The Volvo cross bars are Thule so Thule storage boxes and other
components will work. You could also just go with Thule products,
including the cross bars from a Thule dealer. (Our cross bars came
from the dealer and our Thule storage box from a local store.)

By any chance is this an all wheel drive? An AWD with one different
tire should be avoided since that can lead to failure of the AWD
components. Thought I'd add that, just in case. Should not be
a problem for front wheel drive models.

I've seen white Volvo wagons with tinted windows and they look really
sharp (neighborhood soccer mom's 855 Turbo is setup like this). Not
sure of the effort; but damn, it looks good.
