Retractable antenna S70 1998

I have had the SAME problem on my 96 Maxima.

This problem would really bother me and the best way i found to fix this was by spraying the WD 40 it on the mast and then phsyically extending it.

After the anternna is fully extended, spray some more WD 40 on the tips of the extended points on the shaft, use a clean cloth to wipe off the execess leave antenna up for a little while then use rubbing alcohol to wipe the access off.

Usually the WD 40 will seep into the inside of the shaft and do its magic. The rubbing alcohol will get rid of the access oil residue which attracts the dirt and makes the antenna from going up or down

Hope it works out.
