Advice: How do I deal with this case 850 1993

First, I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune.

Was the timing belt done by the old mechanic before the move, or the new mechanic that does only Volvos & SAABs?

I'd definitely talk to the mechanic that did it, if he's local. It seems to me that, either the belt manufacturer or the mechanic (in an ideal world. perhaps both?) should be held liable, but I'm no expert in these matters.

Curious, are you in MA by chance? If so, could you email me where you went for the belt change? I 'might' know the mechanic.

I'll need to get my timing belt done soon, and I'm inclined to go to the dealer.

Wish you luck, and keep us posted. Sorry I couldn't help more.
