Help, tough time getting my 850 fixed 850 1996

Well, I think the gist of many of the replies to your previous posting is that you should consult with a lawyer who has some experience in this area (contracts, warranty claims, etc.). Not many of us on the board are lawyers, as far as I know. Before you go, you definitely need to find out the exact "altered original equipment" they are referring to in denying your claim- maybe it's not the tires, who knows? If it is the tires, then you need to get your facts together. In your previous post, you speculated that it's a 17" vs. 16" tire issue, and you said that 16" tires were an option on your car. You need to document that. In this post you are talking about 205/50/16's vs. 205/55/16's. I know for a fact that the 55/16's were an option, in fact there was some sort of class action lawsuit over that issue. Maybe other readers can supply more details. But in any event, you need to *document* that as well, and preferably through VCNA (Volvo Cars North America) and not through what a bunch of jokers like us on brickboard.com tell you.

But step 1 is to find out what those folks mean by "altered original equipment".
