Parking Brake Weirdness S70 1998

I've noticed recently that there seems to be alot of noise coming from the rear drivers side wheel/wheel well.

During driving there can often be heard a cycling "whine" sound that is speed sensitive, usually when a load is on that part of the car.

When weight is added/subtracted from the vehicle (people getting in,etc) there is also a noise heard from there, like a settling of mechanical parts.

Finally, I've noticed that the noise is closely related to the parking brake handle (pull it lightly while driving and the "whine" noise dissappears).

What could the problem be?

Thanks,
Scott Silverman
