Headlight Bulb TSB S80 2001

Yes, there IS a TSB for S-80 AND 01 V-70. However it is NOT a recall. The dealer will replace both headlight bulbs and add a short wire harness that includes a resistor reduce voltage slightly and prolong bulb life. This is the same fix that is applied to the 98-2000 S/V/C-70 with recall 101. Again, it is NOT a recall for S-80, but dealers ARE instructed to perform this fix when car comes in with bulb failure. Also, ALL bulbs are covered by warranty for 4 years/50K miles on ALL 99 and newer US/Canada volvo models. For those of you with S/V 40's, there is a TSB for you as well. Both bulbs are replaced, and a short resister harness is installed between the car harness and the central electronic module. Also NOT a recall, but dealers are instructed to perform this repair for repeat bulb failure.
