First Brake job: a simple question 850 1996

Hi everybody. I am not laying the groundwork to perform my first brake job, with the aid of my supergenius brother-in-law. My question is this: let's say I'm doing both a front and rear brake job, and I decide to replace the brake fluid as well. *When* is that done in the process? Also, if I was doing the front brakes only, would that change anything?

Bottom line is that I'm trying to integrate the brake fluid flush with the brake job, and wondering how and when that fits into the process.

Thanks as usual for any and all sage advice!
