When... What color is it? 850

Jay, get that timing belt done SOON!

Chances are, you will be doing the timing belt once or twice during your ownership. You can wait and take a chance, but if you change it now, then after 70,000 miles, the third belt won't come until 140,000 miles from now. Most likely you won't own the car 140,000 miles from now!

As for the flush, what color is the fluid now? Our 850 wagon has 110,000 miles on it (12,000 are ours) and its fliud is nice and pink.

Our 850 sedan has 54,000 miles and at 49,000 when we purchased it, its fluid had a decided brownish tint. One FLUSH did not clear it up. My dealer did it a second time at thjeir expense when one of their technicians saw the color after the flush.

Ask the service advisor if they drain the pan before they flush, apparently that is a better procedure.

As the other poster mentioned, if the fluid does not look too bad, just do a change every 15,000 miles. On 740s they do a change every 30,000 miles, and both my 740s are nice and pink, each having over 225,000 miles.
