Help, please! 850 vs. S-70?? S70

P.E.,
It seems to be that the 850, especially 1997, is a more reliable, popular and sold car than the S70. The 850, although older, has had from 1993-1997 (5 years) experience in tuning out the problems and bugs in the 850 model. The S70 was only around for a few years and is not as recommended as a 96-97 850. Not to mention the fact that the "R" version of this 5 cylinder beast was only available in the 850 line (240hp). Some food for thought. I like the exterior lines of the S70 better but in 1996-7 Volvo was sold to Ford and their first car under Ford was the S70 I believe. I could be wrong but to my knowledge the last "Volvo" was the 1997 850.
