Hello all:
First of all great board. I have been reading and learning a lot here.
A couple of days ago my four year old was playing with the power seat in the garage and when we went to put the seatback up it not move. So I came here and serched and found out it was likely a broken cable. So I pulled up the trim cover and since we don't have a local dealer I was hoping I could somehow turn the seatback up to a decent seating postion until I got the part. But no instead i broke the square shaft that connects the two recliners.
My questions. Is this a serviceable part? Can I just use standard square barstock? Do I have to buy a whole new seat? (Please say no.) Is there any way I can move the seat angle back to normal before I get the cable fixed?
Sorry for the long post. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks
Mike
