Possible A/C Compressor Temp Sensor Problem???? 850 1996

Hi All,

It's been around 28 C and humid the past few days.
My A/C works great when I first get in the car and drive. Lots of cold air coming out of the vents.
After approx. 1/2 hour of driving, the air warms up.
The freon level is full and the condensor was changed two years ago.
There were posts (possibly last summer) about the compressor temp. sensors creating lots of problems in really hot climates.
There were posts that suggested that you simply bypass the temp sensor and connect the 12VDC wire directly to the A/C clutch wire.
How important is this temp. sensor to the overall operation of the system?
Has anyone done this and has it damaged your compressor?
What advice do any tech.'s out there has for this problem?

Thanks in advance,
Purm
